Seed producer RAGT Seeds and agronomy specialist ProCam have teamed up to set a new world record for the time taken to bake a batch of field-to-plate loaves.
Harvesting the RAGT Skyfall variety of wheat, ProCam technical director Dr Tudor Dawkins baked 13 loaves of bread – a baker’s dozen – in a time of 15 minutes and 27 seconds. The attempt is set to be confirmed as a new Guinness World Record, smashing the previous record of 16 minutes and 30 seconds, which was set by Neil Unger in New South Wales, Australia in January 2013.

The latest record-breaking attempt was staged at Ickleton in Essex this week and was documented in a newly published video.
