UK-based snack brand Real Handful has unveiled two new flavours alongside a packaging redesign for its range of trail mixes.
The new variants – mint choc chipper, and blackcurrant blast – join a line of six other flavours, which have all seen an increase in seed and nut content by up to 40%.
Some of the snack pouches are free from refined sugars and the whole line is now vegan.
Launched to market by Joe Taylor in 2016, Real Handful aims to shake up the healthier snacking category through its innovative flavour combinations and natural fruit infusions.
Taylor said: “We launched Real Handful with the mission to make everyday healthier snacking simple, fun and most importantly delicious. We know consumers are always on the lookout for healthy alternatives that don’t compromise on taste and so are excited to roll out our new and improved flavours.
“We’re also particularly proud of our new packaging with its bold and playful illustrative style. For us, snacks don’t have to play by the rules or be either ‘good’ or ‘bad’, they can instead taste awesome and be nutritious at the same time.”
Real Handful worked with design agency Midday Studio on the brand’s new look, which is designed to bring to life it’s personality.
Will Gladden, creative partner at Midday Studio, said: “Working closely with the Real Handful team, we created an exciting new positioning, brand identity and packaging for its rapidly growing brand. Building upon the rebellious brand name and the team’s desire to do things their way, we created the ‘unruly flavour’ design essence.”
The new products are now available in the UK, retailing for between £1 and £1.40.
