Temple Turmeric has unveiled a new name and branding for its range of turmeric-based beverages, as it seeks to highlight the superiority of its ingredients.
Formerly known as Tumeric – Elixir of Life, the brand’s new packaging “features a larger mandala logo in vivid earth tones that represents balance and presence within the body and unity with the universe,” the company said.
The company will also introduce a new range of “super blends”, which features four unique dairy-free combinations of ingredients such as raw honey, cardamom and healthy fats from coconut milk and hemp milk. The range includes varietals such as bullet brew Turkish coffee and matcha latte. The high pressure-processed, non-GMO verified drinks are available in 12oz bottles and will retail for a recommended price of $6.99 in retailers such as Whole Foods Market.
The brand’s products aim to “unite ancient Ayurvedic tradition with emerging trends like matcha green tea and coconut nectar,” the New York firm said. It also claimed that “each 12ozbottle of Temple Turmeric boasts at least 13g of its whole-root Hawaiian Oana turmeric, as well as ingredients like black pepper, cayenne, ginger, and plant-based fats that help increase the functionality and bioavailability of curcumin, the active compound in turmeric”.
Temple Turmeric founder Daniel Sullivan said: “We wish to celebrate a conscious approach to nutrition, energy and optimal wellness for your body as Temple. We do this through our passionate devotion in delivering the highest quality turmeric experience available. The name Temple is the purest expression of our deep-rooted belief that we should live with presence in each moment and honour our bodies as the sanctuaries of health and positive energy that they are.”
