Re:Think Ice Cream has reformulated its ice cream range to include collagen and lactose-free A2/A2 dairy, as it aims to boast extra health benefits.
Founded in late 2018, Re:Think aims to offer a better-for-you ice cream which is lower in sugar, carbs, calories and fat. Like its original recipe, the brand’s line-up remains diabetic and keto-friendly, gluten-free, while featuring only all-natural ingredients.
According to the California-based brand, its reformulated range will be the first dairy ice cream that is completely lactose and A1 protein-free. With the change, Re:Think aims to target those consumers who experience digestive discomfort from dairy.
By infusing its ice cream with collagen, the brand intends to boast other health benefits such as improved skin elasticity, stronger hair, nails, and boosted metabolism.
The move marks the start-up’s second anniversary and will apply to its 12 flavours, including Coconut Matcha, Black Cherry Vanilla, Cardamom Pistachio, Chocolate Orange with Almond Butter, and Strawberry with Chia Seed.
In addition to the reformulation, Re:Think is also revealing a packaging rebrand to highlight its added health benefits.
“When we researched how many people were averse to dairy, it was staggering. We realised there is a full-size market out there of people who still want the traditional dairy ice cream experience but have had to go without because until now there hasn’t been an option for them,” said Haymaker, founder of Re:Think Ice Cream.
He added: “By using lactose-free A2/A2 Dairy, we can promise our consumers a fully tummy-friendly ice cream. Re:Think is filling a gap in the frozen dessert category. We have created a great tasting and textured ice cream with added health benefits that support consumers’ active and healthy lifestyles.”
Re:Think’s newly reformulated ice cream will begin rolling out to stores in California, Utah, Idaho, Montana and Oregon this summer for an RRP of $6.99 per tub.
