Rhythm108 will this month launch two flavours of Ooh-la-la biscuits in the UK, in a bid to replicate the success it has enjoyed in more than 500 stockists across Switzerland.
Redefining the traditional biscuit, each packet is made with all-natural and ingredients like gluten-free whole grain oats, coconut oil and unrefined coconut flower sugar. Described as the perfect accompaniment to tea and coffee, the Oh-la-la biscuits are suitable for those following both gluten- and dairy-free diets and register at as little as 62 calories per biscuit. They are available in chock-hazelnut and lemon-ginger varieties.
The biscuits’ introduction follows April’s announcement that the brand would expand availability of its “good-for-you” dessert bars to the UK, having secured a number of listings with independents and health food retailers in London.
The brand’s founder, Siddhi Mehta, said: “More and more, customers looking for healthy snacking options are unwilling to compromise on taste. With our fresh and fun packaging and convenient single-serve packets, we believe our Ooh-la- la tea biscuits target all three customer preferences: healthy, wholesome ingredients in line with key trends (gluten free, dairy free, “no nasties”); fabulous taste; and convenient and fun packaging suited to today’s on-the-go lifestyle.”
