Coffee roaster Rombouts has launched two new ground coffee variants that it has claimed will allow consumers to take the “coffee shop experience” in home.
New Cachet d’Or is described as an “all day coffee” from 100% arabica medium-to-fine premium ground coffee. Rombouts claim that it “is blended from some of the finest coffees in the world to create a light and subtle fruity taste”, and retails for £3.49 for 250g.
The company is also launching its Italian-style espresso – “a blend of dark roasted, premium medium-to-fine ground coffee that is rich, intense and as full bodied as an espresso” – for £3.99, also for 250g.
Both variants are suitable for all types of coffee makers, though Rombouts recommends using a cafetiere or stove-top moka pot. It is hoping to enhance its position within the UK’s £730m coffee industry, where 400bn cups of the hot beverage are consumed each year.
Rombouts’ Simon Remmer said: “This is an exciting new chapter in the Rombouts story. We have been overwhelmed with customers asking for more of their favourite coffee at home, and with our latest range, we can now deliver exactly that. Our aim is to give coffee lovers an unbeatable coffee experience wherever and whenever they want. We use only traditional techniques, slow roasting coffee beans for longer, resulting in a fuller more rounded coffee flavour.”
