Tygon S3 is made from a bio-based material that’s free of phthalates and Bisphenol A (BPA) without sacrificing the high level of performance synonymous with the Tygon brand.
“Food and beverage manufacturers are working within an increasingly complex regulatory environment where BPA and phthalates are highly scrutinised, but the standards applied to them can vary between regions,” said Iuliana Nita, global marketing manager, food and beverage, Process Systems Business Unit at Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics. “We engineered Tygon S3 with the purpose of delivering peace of mind to end-users aiming to self-regulate the usage of these substances and stay ahead of the regulatory curve.”
Saint-Gobain introduced Tygon S3 in 2012 as the first bio-based and phthalate-free tubing solution that provides the same level of performance as other Tygon-branded offerings for food and beverage applications.
