Salt of the Earth has signed new distribution deals for its clean-label Mediterranean Umami sodium reduction ingredient in Australia, Poland, South Africa, and Thailand.
In Australia, Salt of the Earth has partnered with Ingredientbox, which will promote the savoury flavour enhancement properties of Mediterranean Umami for a number of food products.
Meanwhile in Thailand, the company has partnered with Wang Chemicals Co, which will market the ingredient as a natural alternative to MSG as the popularity of clean label and natural products grows in the country.
WCA Life Science will distribute the product in South Africa, helping food manufacturers in the country comply with mandatory salt reduction legislation.
Finally, Bajar will distribute the ingredient in Poland, helping manufacturers to meet the increasing demand for premium products made using only natural ingredients, and to meet WHO and EFSA sodium recommendations for products exported to Western Europe.
David Hart, business unit director for Salt of the Earth said: “We are pleased to announce these new commercial partnerships around the world, expanding the reach of Mediterranean Umami.
“Each of these companies is a leader in its respective market, with extensive experience bringing value-added ingredients to the food industry.
“We look forward to working closely with them and their customers to help create tastier and healthier foods using Mediterranean Umami.”
