Probiotic strains manufacturer Ganeden has announced that it has formed “a strategic alliance” with Netherlands-based inulin manufacturer Sensus, underscoring the companies’ shared vision and commitments.
As part of the alliance, the two firms have developed Frutalose Pro – a liquid prebiotic, chicory root fibre syrup blended with the probiotic Ganeden BC30, which will allow food and beverage manufactures to design products that provide a range of health benefits, Ganeden said. The highly stable ingredient combination is a low calorie and low sugar, clinically proven symbiotic designed to enhance protein utilisation and digestive health. It is made using the chicory root-based Frutalose SF75 prebiotic liquid inulin fibre.
Ganeden president Andrew Lefkowitz said: “Partnering with an industry leader such as Sensus will enable us to broaden the applications of GanedenBC30 into more functional food and beverage applications. The experience, knowledge and high standard of quality that Sensus brings to the chicory root fibre inulin market further supports our commitment to provide superior formulations to the food and beverage industry.”
Sensus America president Carl Volz added: “We are excited to partner with an innovative probiotic company that shares a vision of improving quality of life through healthy ingredient fortification. By integrating our unique strengths, we will accelerate our business and growth opportunities by capitalising on the unique opportunities and synergies that these innovative ingredients provide.”
