Seymour Valentine’s focus is on healthy, sustainable, ethically traded and recyclable products in all its vending machines, hence the introduction of the iRecycle.
Seymour Valentine’s iRecycle scans in and consumes empty aluminium cans and PET standard bottles using a barcode detection method and green light system. The machines can be coded to accept multiple brands and products or can be initiated to just accept one waste product.
The chosen bottles and cans are recognised and accepted into the machine where the iRecycle will then dispense a receipt that can be used in a variety of ways.
For example, you can take the receipt to your catering department and get 10p off your next meal or put your name on the back and pop into a box next to the machine. Each week, a receipt is picked out at random and a prize is won. Seymour Valentine is open to other new ideas and incentive schemes to promote recycling while benefiting clients.
Seymour Valentine MD, Cevat Riza, said: “Everybody is talking about recycling, but Seymour Valentine doesn’t want to just talk about it, we want to actively do something. We want to increase the amount of public participation in recycling and we want to do this in an easy and convenient manner. Recycling is vital to sustaining our environment and, in turn, our future.”
