They were delighted to win for their Dead Crow bourbon flavoured beer last night at the Beverage Innovation Awards, plus four ‘Highly Commended’ certificates for Shloer Raspberry and Rhubarb Punch, Bottle Green with Acacia Blossom, Equator 0.00% alcohol beer and one for their Look After Your Mates Facebook programme, to promote responsible drinking.
Launching a new BottleGreen Cordial flavour of Blackcurrant and Coffee into Waitrose in two weeks’ time, the company also has some interesting promotional plans for Halloween.
Already known for its Traffic Cone two-pint pitchers for group celebration, it’s introducing ‘witches cauldrons’ for Halloween with a foaming food ingredient to add to the two bottles of WKD. Now that’s what I call marketing!
Paul and Mark said they ‘loved’ the Beverage Innovation Awards ceremony and are keen to contact lots of the companies who featured in the Showcase magazine, tweaking their products for distribution. They see a great future for spirit beers (or ‘Speers’) as a category and have already seen copycat followers since the launch of the rum Cuvana and bourbon Dead Crow this January. Brand activation is what they do best and we can all learn from them.
They were keen to learn from us too, so I sent them off to taste a few samples at the Beverage Innovation Bar in the Innovation Flow Lounge.
