So Delicious Dairy Free launches new vegan frozen mousse range

Danone-owned So Delicious Dairy Free has unveiled a frozen mousse line as it continues its expansion in the vegan dessert sector.

With between 300 and 330 calories per pint, the mousses are available in seven flavours: salted caramel swirl, mango swirl, peanut butter swirl, strawberry swirl, lemon swirl, chocolate chip, and cranberry cherry swirl.

Each flavour is swirled into a smooth mousse, which So Delicious says “makes for an indulgent dessert with less guilt”.

So Delicious senior brand manager Lauren Start said: “We are really excited about these new pints. There is so much to love; they are shamelessly decadent with 300-330 calories per pint so you can enjoy a serving for dessert and not compromise on taste. They really are So Delicious.

“In developing frozen mousse, it was important for us to balance the right creamy, light mousse-like texture with indulgent swirls of flavour, all crafted with carefully selected ingredients for a delicious treat that can be enjoyed anytime.”

The tubs are now available in the US with a recommended retail price of $5.49.

Other So Delicious products include coconut and almond drinks. The brand was bought by WhiteWave Foods for $195 million in 2014, which itself was acquired by Danone for $12.5 billion in 2016.
