Artisan bakery brand Speciality Breads has rolled out a new Christmas range in the lead up to the busy festive period.
The new freshly frozen Christmas offering includes a mixed selection of Mediterranean rolls and two new indulgent teacakes – to be targeted towards the pub, cafe, restaurant and hotel sectors.
The selection of Mediterranean flavoured breads include a mini walnut tin loaf, a sundried tomato and basil finger, a sunflower and honey roll, a rosemary focaccia knot dipped in extra virgin olive oil, plus a three-grain seed finger roll. Available in a 75-unit case with an approximate cost per unit of £0.40, all of the rolls are perfect for filling, dipping and serving alongside soups or as table breads, Speciality Breads said.
The company has also launched a luxury version of its traditional teacake, bursting with sweet cranberries and coming in at approximately £0.45 for each 110g unit, available in a case of 45 units. It will be accompanied by a mini spiced teacake that is described as “fragrant, crisp and delicate” with a cost per unit of £0.20 and available in a 60-unit case.
Speciality Breads managing director Peter Millen said: “Christmas is a time for celebrating and indulging in the best. Furthermore it is a time when consumers are more willing to pay a premium and treat themselves. To this end, foodservice providers have a fantastic opportunity to up-sell and get customers to trade up but they have to be offering products and dishes with the wow factor. Our new Christmas range offers this wow in abundance, as well as versatility and convenience. We are confident that they will see strong interest as the colder months creep closer.”
