Infant nutrition brand Sprout Foods has unveiled several new plant-based protein purees and snack products for babies and toddlers, which will be released in the US.
Sprout Organic Crinkles are vegetable and bean-based pop snacks made from organic chickpeas, carrots, spinach and beets which are intended for toddlers.
The Organic Crinkles snacks will be available in two flavours: Cheesy spinach and pumpkin carrot.
Meanwhile, the brand’s Sprout Plant Based Protein Purees range has been expanded with new flavours for various stages in infant development.
Butternut blueberry apple with beans and carrot chickpeas zucchini pear pouches have been introduced for babies aged six-eight months.
For babies aged eight months and up, the brand has released a new spinach carrot corn & black bean flavour puree, which the brand claims offers a more nutritious alternative to meat and dairy-based baby foods.
Rick Klauser, CEO of Sprout Foods said: “Our new plant-powered products are part of Sprout’s ongoing mission to provide wholesome and organic food to families across America.
“Our goal remains focused on educating parents on the nutritious food options they can introduce into their baby’s diet. We do this by helping parents properly interpret food labels so they can make informed decisions about their baby’s food, and providing options to satisfy a variety of diet choices.
“We are proud to offer the variety that today’s millennial parents are looking for so that they can eat and live healthier lives.”
