Good food delivery company Pod will roll out two of its Blitz juices alongside an extension to its fresh food menu in coffee shop chain Starbucks, after the two companies revealed that they had extended their partnership.
The new supergreen Blitz and fruit boost Blitz will be available at a select number of Starbucks stores in the UK. It will be joined by a new bespoke menu of fresh food made in store, and ranging from slow-cooked porridge to pulled pork wraps. The extension of the menu to a total of ten London Starbucks outlets follows an in-store trial that launched in October last year at the Seattle-based chain’s Harewood Place, Moorgate and Pentonville Road outlets.
Starbucks director of marketing and category Steve Flanagan said: “Offering freshly made food prepared in store alongside our great range of drinks is a new direction for us and we’re delighted by the positive response we’ve received. With more than 80,000 different ways to customise our drinks, we’re delighted to offer an increased choice of delicious, healthy food to our customers.”
Pod founder Tim Hall added: “We launched our new partnership with Starbucks in September 2014 with three Starbucks offering a selected range of hot and chilled pod food. We’ve been really flattered by the positive feedback from customers and are now expanding the project to enable more fresh preparation in store and also adding further stores to the roster. “The new menu is brimful of innovative, nutritious, healthy food and we hope this exciting project will help thousands of people to live healthier lives.”
