Stella Artois has announced the addition of three premium slimline cans, available exclusively through the on-trade channel across its raspberry, peach and elderflower Cidre variants.
The new cans will provide consumers with a smaller and more stylish format to add larger Cidre packaging options, catering to the trend towards more compact serving sizes. The brand has hinted that the premium cans could be rolled out across other variants beyond those three announced this week, and has said that they help to save fridge space and are more quickly chilled than bottles.
Stella Artois senior brand manager Emily Kraftman said: “With the launch of new and smaller Cidre bottle variants in raspberry, peach and elderflower over the last 12 months, we have noticed the success of smaller bottle formats.
“We are constantly looking for ways to increase and improve our product to offer the best possible serve. The new sleek cans for our fruit Cidre variants tap into the ever-growing trend within the UK on-trade environment for premium canned drinks, as pubs and bars look to diversify their packaged ranges, and offer more choice in the fridge.”
