California’s Straus Family Creamery has expanded its organic super premium ice cream range in the US with three new flavours.
Straus developed the chai latte, vanilla fudge swirl, and maple cream ice cream pints without artificial ingredients or colouring agents.
The new flavours expand the company’s organic super premium ice cream offering to 13 variants. Others include caramel toffee, cookies and cream, and raspberry chocolate chip.
The company said that each flavour represents a “commitment to farmer-first business practices, environmental leadership, and premium quality”.
Albert Straus, founder and CEO of Straus Family Creamery, said: “As an organic dairy farmer, I’m focusing on sustainable agriculture and organic family farming to strengthen our rural communities. We’ve come a long way in helping sustain local family farms, but there is still more work ahead of us.”
To celebrate 25 years in business, the dairy company has redesigned its packaging in a move to more clearly communicate its mission, brand benefits and offer greater consistency across categories.
The packaging includes updated messaging on its reusable glass bottle that has contained its organic cream-top milk since the company’s launch in 1994. The bottles, which have a return rate of more than 80%, keeps an estimated 500,000 pounds of milk containers and plastic out of landfills each year. The bottles are reused an average of five times before being recycled.
