Südzucker Group and Israel-based flavours company DouxMatox have partnered to commercialise DouxMatok’s sugar reduction technology across Europe.
The partnership aims to support the food industry’s efforts to reduce the sugar content of food products, as DouxMatox’s solution can reduce sugar content in various food products by up to 40% while maintaining the same taste.
According to a statement released by Südzucker, both companies are currently working on increasing the production of the solution before it is offered to European food brands, which it expects to release in the second half of 2019.
The solution is compatible with a large variety of foods, including chocolate, spreads, snack bars, biscuits, baked goods and candies.
