Snack brand Ten Acre has unveiled two new popcorn varieties, including Lucia Popperley’s cappuccino popcorn.
At Avex 2015 in Manchester, Sian Griffiths spoke to Ten Acre’s Mark Leddy about the launch of the new flavour. The brand is at the forefront of cappuccino popcorn innovation, announcing the launch of the new product at roughly the same time as Devon brand Portlebay Popcorn unveiled a similar product development.
The other new innovation being uncovered by Ten Acre is Cousin Penelope’s strawberry and cream popcorn, which marries the two flavours that epitomise the taste of the British summer. Both varieties will launch in 28g bags with a recommended retail price of £0.69.
The new additions extend Ten Acre’s range of seven existing flavours and, as with the rest of the range, come with “unrivalled free-from credentials,” the brand claimed. They are free from gluten, dairy and MSG; as well as being vegan-, halal- and kosher-friendly.
Yumsh Snacks CEO Tony Goodman said: “Extending our popcorn range even further is another exciting chapter for the Ten Acre brand – which only launched a little over 12 months ago. Our cappuccino popcorn is a nod to the vibrant coffee and café industry – while the strawberry and cream captures the very essence of a traditional British summer. We have had fantastic reviews during consumer tastings – so we are very excited about seeing the reaction to the latest additions to our snacking family.”
