UK retailer Tesco has tapped into the growing alcoholic ice cream trend by introducing alcoholic Pimm’s ice lollies in the UK for a limited time.
Tesco has partnered with POPS to create the product, which will replicate the taste of the iconic Pimm’s drink, which is synonymous with the British summertime.
The 4.3% ABV lollies contain 32 calories per 80ml lolly, and will be available from Tesco stores nationwide.
According to Tesco, the demand for alcoholic ice lollies has increased 10% since last year.
Tesco ice cream buyer Sonia Morland said: “These refreshing ice lollies are a guilt-free treat and represent a glass of Pimm’s in frozen form.
“With the present heatwave showing no end we think this great tasting ice lolly is set to be a hit at BBQs for the rest of the summer.”
Limited edition two-packs of Pimm’s POPS lollies are available from Tesco stores with a suggested retail price of £2.50 per pack.
