Tetra Pak has launched a new version of its PlantMaster automation solution, enabling manufacturers to programme their entire plant through a single data management system.
The upgrade includes the Tetra Pak PlantMaster Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Suite, a new software programme specifically designed for the food and beverage industry with a user-friendly interface.
The new software will provide a single set of tools for manufacturers with multiple pieces of equipment from different suppliers in a single plant, allowing them to integrate all operations from incoming raw materials to palletised end-products. This will ‘give manufacturers complete control of the plant’ and streamlines data collection, facilitates accurate data analysis and, ultimately, improves efficiency, Tetra Pak said.
Tetra Pak executive VP product management and commercial operations Charles Brand said: “The new Tetra Pak PlantMaster provides customers with a simple end-to-end solution by unifying plant control in one single data system. We are pleased to see that customers find value in this new system, reducing complexity in their management processes and increasing productivity, which in turn, positively impacts the bottom line.”
Jose Luis Campillos, owner of Spanish beverage producer Dafsa and one of the companies that Tetra Pak claimed to be ‘finding value in this new system’, said that the new software meets all of its plant needs.
“A plant management system has to let us easily calculate every part of an operation, allow us to optimise the processes and make us more efficient,” Campillos said. “With the new Tetra Pak PlantMaster, we will have all the information needed for planning and production management.”
The new Tetra Pak PlantMaster is available globally as an upgrade to existing services, or as a new installation.
