The Compleat Food Group acquires Wrights Food Group

The Compleat Food Group has struck a deal for Wrights Food Group, a manufacturer of pastry and ready meals based in Cheshire, UK.

Wrights Food Group produces frozen savoury pastry, sweet bakery products and ready meals for retail and foodservice. The company also operates a chain of branded bakery stores.

The Compleat Food Group is the new name for the business formed through the merger of Addo Food Group and Winterbotham Darby following their acquisition by PAI Partners.

The group’s acquisition of Wrights, which specialises in frozen foods, complements the business’s existing chilled portfolio.

In addition, the deal expands The Compleat Food Group’s customer base, as well as its presence in the UK foodservice channel.
