Illva Saronno has expanded its Tia Maria brand portfolio with the launch of a ready-to-drink Iced Coffee Frappé in the UK.
Made with 100% Arabica coffee, cream and original Tia Maria, the brand claims to offer an “indulgent yet refreshing” cocktail with a 4% ABV.
By entering the RTD category, the coffee liqueur brand aims to expand to a broader consumer base.
According to Tia Maria, once the can is opened, nitro technology instantly creates the frappé foam for a ‘velvety smooth’ texture.
“The ready-to-drink category is in dynamic growth and has a bias towards a younger consumer, which is consistent with our strategy to breathe new life into this wonderful brand,” said Neil Jardine, managing director of Disaronno International UK.
He continued: “The Iced Coffee Frappé is our first step into wider product innovation and allows us to present Tia Maria to a broader consumer, meeting new occasions and taste preferences.”
The new ‘look and feel’ packaging has been created in collaboration with street artist Karski from the Netherlands.
“As we work to broaden our product range, we want to celebrate our one-of-kind soul through a refreshed look which is why we’ve worked with street artists to bring a colourful and vibrant look to the Iced Coffee Frappé,” said Jardine.
Street artist Karski added: “I’m extremely happy that Tia Maria identifies its branding with my vibrant works of art. This ready-to-drink can has an unique appearance with its abstract design and ‘one-of-a-kind’ colours.”
Following the release of its RTD cocktail, the brand announced that it will continue to innovate with further product launches over the coming months.
Tia Maria Iced Coffee Frappé is currently available to purchase nationwide in Sainsbury’s with an RRP of £1.89 per can.
