It’s been a busy year for the FoodBev team from discovering the latest innovations to covering shows across the globe and along the way we’ve spoken to all sorts of interesting characters and company’s from major household names to start-ups with grand ideas of being the next big thing.

An Irish company called IrePack has launched Powerful Yogurt in Ireland and the UK. Inspired by the American product, the product is proudly Irish. Bill Bruce talked to managing director Robert Doyle.
Powerful Yogurt delivers up to 25g of protein per 227g container, and has been introduced in the UK and Ireland by online sports nutrition retailer Muscle Food UK. Initially available in three flavours, Robert talks about the launch, protein,the recipe and the product descriptor – as well as looking to the future for Powerful Yogurt in the UK and Ireland.

In an exclusive interview Hernan Marina, PepsiCo’s business innovation senior director, Latin America beverages, spoke about the new Drinkfinity device.
Described as a ‘personal and portable hydration system’, Drinkfinity is currently sold in the Brazilian online marketplace. The creation utilises a reusable bottle, which is used in conjunction with flavoured pods.

Alexandra Feeken co-founded Hidrate with colleagues from the University of Minnesota when one of the founders began getting headaches and started feeling sluggish. Soon she realised she hadn’t been drinking enough water and wished she had a water bottle that would help remind her.
Alexandra spoke about the incredible support for the product and money raised for the company on crowd funding platform Kickstarter.
