Udi’s Gluten Free has launched 25 listings into Tesco stores in the UK, increasing its current portfolio to 44 gluten-free products. Appearing in dedicated Udi’s bays (Tesco’s first branded free-from bays), the growth of the range follows successful trial of the products in Tesco’s 12-week-long Lifestyle Food Fair.
Securing over 500 store listings per product in its first year, Udi’s has ramped up its presence in stores across the country, following a warm response from Coeliacs and those living gluten-free.
“Being the first ever free-from brand to secure branded bays in Tesco is a momentous occasion for Udi’s,” said Simon Hazlett, UK managing director at Boulder Brands. “It makes our extensive range of products more accessible to shoppers, ensuring those living gluten-free don’t miss out on the food they love.
“New product launches have been fundamental to our market success to date, and the introduction of 25 further products means we’re getting even closer to achieving our dream of creating a ‘one stop shop’ for consumers. Continuously moving the restrictions that have previously made living gluten-free a struggle – namely taste and choice – we will continue to enter any new category that’s relevant from a gluten-free standpoint.”
Udi’s listings include Bagels, Granola, Breakfast Bars and Toaster Pastries. At the forefront of the product listings will be Udi’s brand new Multiseed Bread.
