Unilever is expanding its Lipton range in the US with the launch of organic black tea from the Kenyan Highlands.
The tea is said to have a ‘rich flavour’ and it follows on from last month’s launch of a range of Lipton Wellness teas with essential oils and herbs.
Unilever said the new black tea, which is Rainforest Alliance certified, can be enjoyed hot or cold.
George Hamilton, tea director at Unilever, said: “We’re thrilled to bring an organic option to the market at an affordable price. We are also hugely proud of the blend that will deliver a naturally smooth taste that’s rich and delicious.”
The black tea is now available in the US with a recommended retail price of $4 per box of 72 tea bags.
