This device’s vertically oriented bottle storage system prevents surface and label scuffing, maintains label/advertising visibility and eliminates cap leaks during transportation.
PMI’s new creation also includes ‘nestable’ pallets and trays, which reduce required storage space and facilitate product recirculation.
The Up-Right system utilises soft, scratch-resistant support rings to protect the surface finish of stored bottles, too. These support rings feature an elastomer layer and an elevated, contact-patch reducing, profile to prevent marking or damage.
Upright’s support ring design works to reduce bottle stress and increases stack stability during stacking and transportation, and this particular system prevents bottle neck damage from forklifts during the separation process.
The model is available in a variety of different versions. The system’s trays and pallets come with optional internal partitions, which provide extra support and constrain bottles, and the latter also contains optional snap on stringers, which provide additional support for roller conveyor applications.
Available in blue or black, each tray stores a total of 12 20-litre bottles. Trays with partitions weigh in at 9.5kg and trays without partitions weigh 0.5kg less, at 9kg. The pallet base is 15kg and the overall Up-Right system can vertically store and transport a total of either 36 or 48 bottles.
