The World Dairy Innovation Awards have been running since 2007 and are a major highlight of the industry awards calendar. The awards are run by FoodBev Media, which publishes a portfolio of magazines and websites that cater to the food and beverage industry, including Dairy Innovation, Beverage Innovation and Food & Beverage International, as well as FoodBev.com.
Upbeat was crowned Best Dairy Drink. It was only last year that Upbeat was recognised as Best New Brand or Business at the Beverage Innovation Awards after launching in March 2013, so it’s a great achievement to have won Best Dairy Drink given the product’s recent inception.
Upbeat comes in a 250ml bottle and contains 20g of high quality whey protein. It’s made from fresh British milk and contains no more than 150 calories per bottle.
“We’re delighted to have been named Best Dairy Drink,” said Mark Neville, founder of The Good Whey Co. “Since our launch last year, we’re now ranged in a great many more stores, from supermarket shelves to petrol forecourts, and have extended distribution dramatically across Tesco, Waitrose, Holland & Barrett, Ocado and WHSmith Travel.”
