In the United States, Dairy Innovations has introduced Früzinga – a range of fat-free probiotic drinkable yogurts containing prebiotic fibre.
A 7oz single-serve bottle of each flavoured variety contains 90 calories, 7g of protein, 8g of fibre, 10g of sugar and 7g of sugar alcohols. The product is sweetened with erythritol and stevia leaf extract and contains no artificial colours or flavours.
The flavoured varieties, along with plain are available in 7oz and 32oz bottles.
Früzinga features the following live and active probiotic cultures: L. acidophilus, L. bulgaricus, L, paracasei, S. thermophilus. Früzinga probiotic drinkable yogurts also contain a soluble ingredient called VitaFiber, which is also a prebiotic. VitaFiber helps the body maintain healthy cholesterol and blood sugar levels, it also provides a convenient way to assist with the improvement of mineral absorption and in the prevention of constipation.
