US natural food brand Nothing But Real has debuted its new healthy oat chocolate protein drink, which it has said will help to curb hunger naturally and not chemically.
The first product launched by the Florida-based company, the Oat Chocolate & Protein drink will be available from this month and is made from whole grain oats and lightly sweetened with pure maple syrup. It offers an optimal blend of 8g of easily absorbable oat and pea proteins to keep hunger at bay, and is both kosher and non-GMO project verified. It is also free from sugar and dairy.
Nothing But Real founders Helena Lumme and Mika Manninen, who previously developed the Simpli OatShake brand, spent two years creating a patented process to manufacture a great-tasting oat-based drink that is free of additives like carrageenan, gellan gum and processed sugars.
“The result is a healthy anytime-snack that also satisfies chocolate cravings,” Lumme said.
Targeted at discerning shoppers and millennials looking for products made of high-quality ingredients, Oat Chocolate & Protein will retail for $4.69 and in 12-count cases for $56.28.
As the principle of using nothing but real ingredients continues to resonate with young Hollywood stars, Simon Quarterman, a breakout star of HBO’s upcoming television series Westworld, has signed up to support the emerging brand.
“Nothing But Real represents values I want to stand by,” said Quarterman. “Our food contains too many chemicals and ingredients nobody can pronounce. I want to see this kind of thinking grow and expand, and will do everything from my part to support its growth.”
The clean ingredients in Oat Chocolate & Protein are water, whole grain oats, pea protein, maple syrup, cocoa powder, agave syrup, vanilla extract, organic canola oil, monk fruit extract and sea salt.
