In Poland, Vianat has launched its new Aronia+ chokeberry drink with healthy ingredients and properties.
Aronia+ is a chokeberry drink with a high content of polyphenols, enriched with flax seed. It has been pasteurised, is naturally unclarified and contains a sweetening substance. The drink was produced from chokeberry juice achieved in a special process that guarantees twice the level of polyphenol compounds in comparison to pressed chokeberry juice, while extra flax seed enriches the product with natural fibre.
Due to their high content of polyphenols, chokeberries help to protect cells from oxidative stress; meanwhile, flax seed plays its role in accelerating gastrointestinal passage and the proper functioning of the intestines.
Packaged in 330ml cartons, the drink has a polyphenol content of 1477mg/100ml and contains only salt resulting from natural sodium.
Its introduction has been welcomed by The Council for Promotion of Healthy Food, which supports start-ups in Poland to bring new functional and health drinks to market. “A balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle are important for health,” said the council, whose formation FoodBev first reported on back in June.
