The World Dairy Innovation Awards 2018 were presented as part of a gala dinner at the Global Dairy Congress 2018 in Warsaw, Poland, and FoodBev has compiled a highlights video documenting the events of the night.
The World Dairy Innovation Awards are designed to celebrate excellence and innovation across every category of the global dairy industry.
This year’s judging panel considered entries from companies located all over the world in 18 categories, including best cheese, best new brand/business and best Asian product, a new category introduced for this year’s awards.
Companies including DSM, Valio, Bright Dairy and General Mills were victorious at the ceremony, while Yili received the award for best dairy product from Asia, reflecting a high standard in entries from the region ahead of the Asia Food Innovation Awards in Singapore next month.
FoodBev Media group editor Alex Clere said: “We are happy to celebrate the 12th year of the annual World Dairy Innovation Awards at the Global Dairy Congress, this year in Poland. The winners demonstrate a high level of innovation across new flavour combinations, concepts, packaging designs and manufacturing technologies.
“The World Dairy Innovation Awards always showcase some of the most ambitious new products and developments of the year from a wide range of companies all over the world, both large and small. Keeping an eye on the finalists and winners is always a good way to spot the industry’s next big trend.”
