Flowing with impressive food and fantastic beverages, the event proved to be a great networking opportunity and allowed us to get to know a few members of the immensely helpful and fun Ingredia team.
Day two of the show was just as lively as the first, offering plenty of eye-catching products and hints of many potential future trends. One such product came in the form of Soria Natural’s Alpiste canary grass drink, which was free from lactose and cholesterol and low in sodium and fat. The Spanish company’s new beverage is designed as a vegetable alternative to milk products and contains no artificial preservatives or colouring.
Soria Natural was also displaying new organic herbal tea capsules at the latest edition of the Vitafoods Europe show, which are compatible with a wide range of coffee machines and available in a huge variety of flavours.
Another interesting innovation at this year’s exhibition was the Nergia original mocha energy shot: a 100% natural energy drink that’s free from taurine, gluten and sweeteners. With health and wellness becoming an ever more important aspect in the energy drink sector, I firmly believe the industry will start to see more and more natural products entering the market.
ProViva, based on Probi Digestis, was attracting lots of attention at the show, with its impressive health claims and vast array of delicious variants. Available in thirteen different flavours, the team behind this beverage claim that the ProViva probiotic fruit drink can alleviate IBS symptoms, such as abdominal pain and bloating.
Other notable moments of our second day include sampling Nutrarex Biotech’s Nutri-Cosmetic drink, which includes wheat ceramide and is said to support skin health, a very informative video interview with LycoRed‘s Vice President Thomas Adler (which will be appearing on foodbev.com in the near future) and an entertaining chat with the team behind Nutri-Nick’s stevia sweetened chocolate bars!
