Walkers Shortbread has revealed the launch of an extensive new range of “Scottish biscuits”, as the brand seeks considerable extensions its existing portfolio.
Available in nine different variants, the new range is made using British wheat and combine old-fashioned flavour favourites with new exotic tastes, the brand said. Launching this month with a recommended retail price of £2, the products are made using traditional methods and are free from artificial colours, flavourings or preservatives.
The nine different biscuit varieties are: oatflake and honey; all-butter saltana; treacle toffee; tropical, which consists of pineapple pieces, coconut and white chocolate; hazelnut and chocolate chunks; extremely chocolatey; extremely gingery; crispy toffee and chocolate; and stem ginger and chocolate. They are encased in new 150g window carton packaging that showcases the brand’s iconic livery.
A brand spokesperson said: “With a long established role as a cupboard staple, the new selection of traditional Scottish biscuits are an exemplary representation of the longstanding baking heritage accustomed to Walkers Shortbread, bakers of the world’s finest shortbread.”
