The 12 years old blended malt whisky range, which includes Spice King and Peat Chimney, has names inspired by each whisky’s natural flavours and aromas. These whiskies have been developed in conjunction with the Scotch expert and writer Charlie Maclean.
The judges’ tasting notes for Peat Chimney begin: “A complex array of smoke and citrus fruits lead the nose and then explode onto the palate in sensational fashion.”
Darnley’s View is a boutique gin in the London Dry style, with an emphasis on juniper, elderflower and citrus as the botanicals.
William Wemyss, MD of Wemyss Malts, said: “We are delighted to have won these awards. We place a lot of emphasis on product quality at Wemyss and it is very satisfying to have this recognised by the IWSC judges. “
