Snack brand Wild Trail has launched a new carrot cake variant to its snack bar range, made from just five ingredients.
It is the fourth bar in the portfolio and is designed to appeal to consumers looking for free-from, natural products to snack on the go.
The new carrot cake bar is the first in the range to use cashews rather than peanuts and is also the first bar to feature a vegetable ingredient (100% dried carrot).
These ingredients are mixed with raisins, gluten-free oats and ground cinnamon to create a snack that is gluten and dairy free, with no added sugar.
Wild Trail CEO Robin Williams said: “We’re delighted to add a fourth bar to the Wild Trail range with our new carrot cake flavour. We recognise that people want natural, clean-label products with no artificial ingredients or added sugar, but also don’t want to compromise on taste and texture.
“We’re proud to have created such an indulgent-tasting snack using only five simple ingredients that will appeal to the modern consumer.”
Welsh brand Wild Trail launched in the UK last summer with its apple, cacao, and seed and nut flavours. The new carrot cake flavour will retail with a recommended price of £1 (46g) and £2.50 for packs of four (30g).
