Norit Filtrix, part of the Norit Group, recently received the Water Quality Association (WQA) Gold Seal certification for both the US EPA Standard for Microbiological Water Purifiers and NSF P231 on its Norit H2OK WaterPurifier point of use (POU) product line. This certification is for the Norit H2OK WaterPurifier, WaterPurifier and UF subassembly products, all based on Norit’s ultrafiltration (UF) membrane technology.
“The UF membranes contain millions of microscopic pores that remove microorganisms without altering the taste or healthy mineral content of the water,” said product marketing manager, Frank van Heusden. “There are very few systems on the market that have received certification as a WaterPurifier. The WQA Gold Seal assures consumers that the product will perform as claimed.”
The Norit WaterPurifiers can be mounted before the water enters the water cooler, and work on normal line pressure, use no energy, do not generate any wastewater in the filtering process, and do not alter the taste or pH of the water.
