KarpReilly-owned drinks brand Zola has launched a range of sparkling energy waters, available in the US from June 2018.
With no added sugar and ten calories per 12oz can, the beverages are said to contain the caffeine equivalent of 1½ espresso shots with 100mg of plant-powered caffeine from green coffee, green tea, and yerba mate extracts.
The line will be available in four flavours – pink grapefruit, blackberry cucumber, blood orange, and lemon lime – with a $2.49 recommended retail price per 12oz can.
Zola founder and CEO Chris Cuvelier said: “We are proud of our organic sparkling energy waters that deliver the refreshment, energy and focus you need to crush your day. With no added sugar, and only ten calories, these delicious drinks are sure to unlock your inspiration from within.
“At Zola, we celebrate that feeling of exhilaration when you achieve something amazing and are inspired to raise your arms up high. Our ‘Live Zola’ campaign invites you to drink Zola, experience plant-powered hydration, and show us what inspires you.”
Zola chief growth officer Pete Brennan added: “Our new organic sparkling energy water line and our entire non-GMO project verified plant-powered hydration portfolio are supported by our ‘Live Zola’ integrated marketing campaign, consisting of engaging social promotions and advertising, strategic customer partnerships, in-store shopper marketing programmes, and lifestyle event sponsorships.”
Founded in 2001 and headquartered in San Francisco, Zola also sells açaí juice, coconut water and and organic hydrating energy drinks. In 2016 it was acquired by private equity firm KarpReilly.
