Enzymedica has made its debut in the functional foods category, introducing new Fiber+ Cookies. Fibre is beneficial to gut health, heart health and overall mood, but according to the brand, only 5% of adults in the United States meet their daily fibre requirements.
As such, Enzymedica is aiming to help reduce "the fibre gap" by offering consumers a way to meet their fibre needs in a single serving. The new Fiber+ Cookies harness the benefits of exclusive MB40 probiotics, unique to Enzymedica.
Extensively researched, these probiotics effectively address "belly bloating", keeping their efficacy even at room temperature. The cookies also incorporate soluble corn fibre, a prebiotic with scientific support for enhancing gut regularity and fostering the growth of beneficial gut bacteria.
Ryan Sensenbrenner, senior director of marketing for Enzymedica, said: "These new Fiber+ Cookies are such a natural addition to our family of digestive health products. Our goal is to make it easier than ever for consumers to meet their daily fibre requirements, which we know is so beneficial to overall health and wellness." Enzymedica's Fiber+ Cookies are vegan, soy- and dairy-free and contain no artificial fillers or colours. Each 90-calorie serving delivers five grams of dietary fibre, along with clinically studied probiotics and prebiotics.
Consumers can choose between two flavours, harvest oat and blueberry, and are available to buy at Vitamin Shoppe, Sprouts and local health food stores, as well as on Enzymedica's website.
