According to Henrik Stamm Kristensen, president of the company, the main objectives of the company are a “strong” bet for R&D, development of new functional food ingredients formulas and a worldwide expansion based on one of its last developments: a portable factory that fits in a standard 12.9m container, transportable by boat.
Mini-factories, as Henrik Stamm clarified in his interview in the daily Cinco Dias, allow the on-site production of functional food ingredients that Premium Ingredients’ customers need, using local raw materials and maintaining the quality and traceability levels of the production.
According to the chief financial officer, Jose Miguel Carretero, based on this business model and its new mini-factories, the company expects to triple its revenue in 2015.
