Cocofina founder Jacob Thundil said: “We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Action Against Hunger, an international organisation committed to ending child hunger and we are firmly behind their continuing fight against malnutrition.
“A staggering 8,000 children die every single day from hunger related causes and we want to help change this. We have pledged to donate 10p for every case of our products sold across the globe to Action Against Hunger, and we vow to raise a minimum of £5,000 every year to support the great work the charity does to assist families around the world.”
Action Against Hunger assists over seven million people every year, in over 40 countries. As well as saving malnourished children’s lives, Action Against Hunger provides families with access to food and clean water for the future. Their life-saving programmes could not continue to function without the pledges and donations of partners like Cocofina, which are essential to helping Action Against Hunger reach even more malnourished children. Cocofina are delighted to use their delicious coconut products to raise money for the charity.
The charity was chosen by Cocofina as the beneficiary of its new charitable donations initiative because of its ethical policies, commendable work across the globe, and its incredibly low admin costs, which mean that more of the money raised goes straight to helping families affected by hunger – 84p from every pound raised goes directly to the charity’s programmes and services.
Cocofina will not only be donating funds to the charity, but will also proudly bear the Action Against Hunger logo on all its packaging, helping to raise awareness of the impact the organisation is having on hunger around the world. The Cocofina range of delicious coconut products are sold in supermarkets and health stores across the UK meaning its new branded packaging will help to introduce the British consumer to the plight of thousands of children across the world.
