October was a less frenetic month for food and drink industry transactions, with 38 recorded on the BevBlog database. Three reached the $500m mark, including one above $1,000m.
Of the 38 total, seven were in dairy, four in packaging, four in soft drinks, three in alcohol and three in confectionery.
22 were within national borders and 16 international, involving 22 countries. As always, the US was most active with 10 national and eight international. The UK featured in six, then Germany on four, Italy on four and the Netherlands on three. All four Italy deals were sales to foreign companies.
