This is to help ensure more consistent drink strength and overcome parental concerns about potential waste by children over-pouring.
Also in the news … fruit nectars containing 25-99% juice have suffered most from the recent soda tax. Sales fell 28% from 400 million litres in 2012 to 287 million litres in 2013. It has been predicted that some nectar flavours could disappear altogether.
And … France’s first drive-through grocery collection point on a motorway has been opened by the Leclerc supermarket group in a services area near Cannes. It is aimed at holiday makers as well as commuters.
