Dean Foods has announced the appointment of a former PepsiCo executive as the company’s new executive vice president, general counsel, corporate secretary and government affairs.
Marc L. Kesselman had previously been senior vice president and general counsel of Frito-Lay North America and PepsiCo’s food businesses in North and South America. The company said that he will provide “a unique combination of corporate law and high-level government experience” in his new role, which will commence later this month.
Gregg A. Tanner, CEO of Dean Foods, said: “Marc brings a wealth of global legal and business experience, and has been a trusted advisor to senior executives focused on business growth. He also is a well-respected and proven leader who will be a great complement to our outstanding legal team. I believe he already embodies the company’s guiding principles, making him an ideal fit for Dean Foods. I’m thrilled to welcome him to our organization.”
Kesselman had earlier held senior positions in a number of US government departments, including the department of agriculture, department of justice and White House office of management and budget. He graduated from Cornell University and the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
