Highland single malt Scotch whisky brand AnCnoc has released a 1975 Vintage, drawn from three casks at its Aberdeenshire distillery.
The company is producing fewer than 1600 bottles of the single malt for a number of global markets, including the US, Canada, Russia and the UK. Each bottle of the 44.2% ABV beverage will retail for £300. It is sold in black and silver packaging that “mirrors the contemporary design of the brand’s core range,” the company claimed.
Distinguished by its amber tone, the whisky is matured in oak casks and provides a flavour that is “spicy on the nose and accentuated by orange peel and green apple. To taste, the malt is full bodies, intense and complex with notes of fruit cake, sticky toffee and seasoned leather which leads to a long, sweet finish”.
Assistant brand manager Stephanie Bridge said: “The last 12 months have been a very ambitious and a very successful time for AnCnoc. We unveiled a limited edition peated collection to a global audience and launched two travel retail expressions as well as our popular 18 year old. The 1975 has been anticipated for a number of years, it’s distinctively AnCnoc, a fantastic whisky and a superb addition to any whisky collection”.
