Sustainable drinking water company Eceau has launched the Eceau Curve, a high end dispensing system for the hotel, restaurant and catering sector. The system offers flexible capacity which delivering chilled, sparkling or ambient filtered water at the point of use via a touch screen control.
The system is connected to the main water supply which means no bottles or containers to order or store and no waste disposal problems. Exclusive reusable glass bottles are available in either a contemporary or classic design. Bottles can also be supplied ‘own branded’ with the addition of the customer’s logo and marketing message for added impact. Branded and unbranded bottle caps are also on offer.
With its contemporary Italian styling and sleek stainless steel and aluminium construction, the Eceau Curve uses the same purification technology as some of the leading bottled water brands. The user benefits include portion control, energy saving mode and auto leak prevention. The system can be used with a remote chiller carbonator which can be sited up to 10 metres from the dispense unit for added flexibility.
“We can help customers reduce their carbon footprint by up to 98% and save money too with our environmentally positive drinking water systems,” said Nick Simpson, sales and marketing manager, Eceau.
“The facts surrounding the use of bottled drinking water make pretty grim reading to anyone with even the slightest green conscience. Water miles, the piles of glass and plastic packaging waste, the depletion of fossil fuels in the manufacture of plastic bottles, all add up to a negative impact on the environment which is well documented.
“Making use of the water that is already available on the premises makes far greater sense financially and environmentally than shipping in large volumes of bottled water from overseas.“Plus, at just 0.06p per 70cl bottle, Eceau drinking water is far cheaper than any brand of bottled water. On average, a company will achieve cost savings of 82% against bottled water,” explained Nick.
Eceau uses coconut shell as the source of activated carbon in the advanced micro filters which purify the incoming water supply as it is a waste bi-product from a renewable source and it is far more environmentally friendly than coal based carbon.
The systems also benefit from natural refrigerant gases such as R290 or R600, products with zero impact on global warming that can still achieve an energy saving of around 15% with a higher overall refrigeration performance.
