Eden Springs has completed the final transaction of the acquisition of five water cooler businesses from Nestlé Waters Direct (NWD), a division of Nestlé Waters.
As of 1 February, a portion of the NWD Polish business will transfer to Eden Springs, enhancing Eden’s leadership position across 18 countries in Europe.
The Polish deal forms part of a larger programme for Eden, involving the acquisition of NWD businesses in Germany, Portugal and the Netherlands (December 2014) and Russia (January 2015). Together, the five European companies are expected to increase Eden’s revenue by more than 20%.
Eden Springs CEO Raanan Zilberman said: ”This acquisition has been a very exciting experience for Eden Springs. Over the last year there has been good progress in the integration of the other four businesses and we have found operational synergies as a result, that will allow us to continue to invest in service excellence and innovation. The integration process will now begin in Poland and we expect a similar positive outcome.
“We are happy to welcome our new Polish customers and employees into the Eden group. The Polish consumer has for a long time recognised the well-being benefits that come from drinking spring water. Eden has a strong history of serving Poland, having launched our first European operation there in 1998, and customers favour us as a reliable partner. We will do our best to ensure that the former Dar Natury and MySpring customers enjoy Eden’s great-tasting spring water and our excellent service.”
The Nestlé acquisition reflects Eden Springs’ confidence in the present and future growth of the European water and coffee market, and sees the business as an opportunity to strengthen its service excellence in providing office drinks solutions. From a customer perspective, the former NWD customers now have more product and services offerings from Eden Springs including additional water cooler options and workplace coffee services with brands like Lavazza. “With Eden, a business can source all their office beverages needs from one supplier. In 2015, Eden launched the coffee offer to our new customers in Portugal and Germany and we are pleased with the results,” said Zilberman.
With over 20 years’ expertise in providing water solutions to over 600,000 offices across 18 countries, Eden enlarged its offer in 2010 to include office coffee services (OCS). This now provides employers with a ‘one-stop shop’ for all their water and coffee solution needs. A strong service culture has helped Eden to grow a large customer base of blue chip organisations, public sector bodies and small- and medium-sized businesses throughout Europe.
Zilberman concluded: “With the completion of the Nestlé Waters Direct deal, we have reached an additional important milestone in realising Eden’s vision to be every European workplace’s favourite water and coffee service provider. We are committed to continue with our mission to energise European workplaces through fresh and exciting water and coffee solutions.”
