Schuler CEO Stefan Klebert will step down from his position next year, with current managing director of Schuler Automation Domenico Iacovelli appointed his successor.
Klebert joined the manufacturer in 2010, with the company saying that under his leadership he has ‘significantly developed’ its competitiveness ‘as well as its profitability and liquidity situation’.
Chairman of the Schuler supervisory board Wolfgang Leitner thanked Klebert on behalf of the company for the ‘many years of successful cooperation’ and wished him all the best for the future.
In a statement, the company said: “In the world’s most important growth markets for forming technology, China and North America, Schuler has significantly strengthened its market position by means of acquisitions and organic growth.”
Klebert added: “After eight years at the head of our company, I would now like to take up new career opportunities.”
Domenico Iacovelli will become Schuler CEO as of 24 April next year. He is currently managing director of Swiss company Andritz Soutec as well as Schuler Automation.
