The dairy co-operative scooped a total of 25 awards in various categories, including seven gold prizes.
Milk Link creameries also won a total of 11 silver prizes and five bronze prizes in the competition, with Lockerbie Creamery in Dumfriesshire, Scotland, scooping a bronze for its Medium Lockerbie Cheddar.
Milk Link chief executive, Neil Kennedy, said: “We are thrilled that Milk Link’s cheeses have been recognised on a worldwide level. For two of our speciality cheeses to be named in the top 50 cheeses in the world is a huge achievement. The awards are a true reflection of the hard work and dedication that goes in to cheese-making in this country. All of our creameries have excelled themselves this year, and we’re looking forward to what 2012 will bring.”
