The organisers of this year’s Speciality & Fine Food Fair – held at London’s Olympia between 6 and 8 September – have compiled a rundown of the product innovations launching at this year’s event. They include ranges of ready-to-finish risottos, frozen cocktail pouches and authentic Indian small-batch curry sauces.
Here, exclusively for FoodBev, they take a look at some of the most exciting products launching at this year’s show.
Pack’d
Pack’d is launching a range of three frozen smoothie kits at Speciality & Fine Food Fair 2015 – Defence, Detox and Energy. Each Pack’d kit contains a mix of sophisticated of chopped, peeled and freshly frozen fruits and vegetables plus a sachet of natural superfood boosters. The brand will be sampling their delicious product and holding competitions on their stand at the Fair.
Sweet Virtues
Sweet Virtues is an innovative, health conscious food brand launching a fabulous new range of delicious products at Speciality & Fine Food Fair 2015, including flavoured thins in maqui berry, yerba maté and lemon, and white tea and peppermint. For chocolate lovers: superfood drinking chocolate, chocolate superfood nut butter and a range of super food powders.
Carpe Nux
Carpe Nux offers a premium assortment of luxury sweet and savoury nuts – a delicious, sumptuous treat that also pairs well with beverages. The brand will showcase four exquisite flavours at Speciality & Fine Food Fair, handmade in England in small batches using only natural ingredients: there’s zesty cashews, fiery macadamias, soy-glazed walnuts, and rum-spiced pecans. Each single serve 28g pack retails for £1.99, while a 70g sharing pack is £4.89.
Green Lady
Green Lady is introducing the first ever sparkling tea beverage in the UK – a delicious, en vogue non-alcoholic drink. They will launch Inner Beauty at Speciality & Fine Food Fair 2015 – a sparkling infusion of green tea, carob fruit, nutmeg and a splash of rose oil. The suggested retail price is £2.75 in the on-trade and £1.89 off-trade.
The Art of Curry
The Art of Curry is a new business showcasing its gourmet curry sauces at Speciality & Fine Food Fair 2015, including King Korma, Royal Dopiaza, Queen Bhuna and Raging Raja. Each sauce has distinctive, authentic layers of aromatic flavour which can only be achieved using the slow cooking style of the old royal palaces of India. The four sauces encapsulate the rich heritage of traditional Moghul and Nawabi Indian cooking using family recipes handed down though the generations. The sauces are cooked by hand, in small batches, then chilled for freshness.
Köld Cocktails
Köld Cocktails are launching a range of premium frozen cocktails at Speciality & Fine Food Fair 2015 – for those who appreciate quality crafted drinks at home. Köld Cocktails use high-quality ingredients and premium spirits to create an authentic cocktail experience with effortless convenience. Each cocktail is packaged in a single-serve pouch for a perfectly refreshing cocktail every time. Köld Cocktails are available in three classic combinations: frozen cosmopolitan, frozen mojito and frozen lychee martini. A two-count multipack of the 8% ABV pouches costs £6.99.
Mighty Fine Honeycomb
Mighty Fine Honeycomb will be launching the UK’s first premium flavoured honeycomb bars. Each bar is hand-made using real honey and is encased in an array of top quality flavoured chocolates, from Belgian milk chocolate to 70% dark chocolate. It is available in milk chocolate, peanut butter, dark chocolate and salted caramel varieties for £1.59 per 50g bar.
Morso
Morso Food is a brand new business, showcasing a delicious new range of ready-to-finish, restaurant-quality risottos in only seven minutes. The range is gluten-free and is available in three delicious flavours. They are risotto with mushrooms, with fresh Portobello mushrooms, garlic, rosemary and red wine; risotto with pancetta and fennel, with fresh fennel, fennel seeds and rosemary; and risotto with prawns and leeks, with tiger prawns, a touch of chilli and tarragon. A kilogram costs £10.
